Not really, for consistency. That's the time spot we inherited, and I thought it would be easier for people to plan to play knowing it's same time same day every week. They sometimes ask for teams at other hours or in other days, but I can almost never find 4 people, nevermind 2 regular partnerships to play ad hoc.

Ok, I will be online at least half an hour before so we can agree on system.

I am flexible but here is what I will suggest (feel free to make changes):

- 2/1 GF always, even after 1♦-2♣
- opener's reverse shows extras after 2/1
- invitational jump shifts by unpassed hand uncontested, otherwise jumps are generally fit showing
- rev drury. Other 2/1 by passed hand promise a rebid but are not gf.
- inv min, 2-way checkback, landy, jacoby 2nt, rkc0314
- 2/4 leads, std carding, att on partner's lead, suit pref in trump suit

Lost by 41. A lot of pushes. Poles bid an early slam on a hook and we probably didn't compete enough on some part scores. I made a lazy play which got barmar squeezed on a partial.

Thanks to Barry for taking over and to Phil for filling in. I had to go out, missed the start and had a long list of desperate messages from susina pending when I returned. Glad to find out it was solved.

Sakuragi played really well I think. Maybe we both stretched a bit in the constructive bidding which lead to some contracts that were too high. We had the bad luck that I declared most of the contracts our way and I usually made a trick less than I should. I think I went down in makeable contracts three times.
