♠ 10. Might lead differently if 1 NT bidder can have 5 ♠. However, LHO presumably has not more than 3 ♠ and have 7+ minor cards. The 1 NT opener may have up to 4 ♠, so that marks partner with 4+ ♠ and 10-11 points I'm trying for his suit.

Partner is limited to about 9 HCP, likely less. RHO has no more than 6 Major suit cards. That means partner and RHO have 15+ major cards. I'm figuring an even-ish split. A Major lead might strike gold, but partner's length and strength is under opener's. I'll settle for a good old fashioned 4th ♣. These are the kinds of hands where I can almost hear a gremlin saying "RHO is 5=3=3=2".
Be the partner you want to play with.
