You don't need one. And you don't have to be on the same time as Diana.

Summary

PhilG007: Is it me?
everyone: yes

I remember reading once how the late legendary player and author Rixi Markus related in one of her books
how she frequently had very heated discussions especially with male players who were half her age.
Now,I am no way in the class of the illustrious Mrs M but I can see where she is coming from (!) <_<

I doubt that there are many people here who are half your age, and I think that many if not most forum members have as much playing experience as you.

But anyway I don't really believe you that Rixi frequently defended antiquated methods.

I've tried to stay out of this, but you need to get over the whole bully-victim complex. Most here have gotten into big arguments, myself included, with others before. All I will say is that you live and learn but hitting your head against a brick wall isn't a good idea.

This is true -- I have been called filthy names and subjected to obscene threats just because some people find me intimidating. I think that in every public arena it is important to have a thick skin.

Even so, challenges of this nature would definitely be "away games" from PhilG007 perspective. Many of the arguments that he gets into on these forums centre on his preference for methods significantly at odds with those that he would be obliged to play with a robot.

I play frequently with GIBs here.....even more so now that BBO has introduced day long tournamnets. And I have to admit
they are better than some human partners I've had (!) <_<

That's kinda difficult when you're 'Narcissic' which I've noticed is a widespread failing on these forums :(

That is entirely their choice. When I enter a tournament,my profile is
on view for all to see. Whether they choose to invite me or pass me over
is a matter for them. The same principle applies when I send an invitation.
They can either say 'yea' or 'nay' and the decision is final.

PhilG I mean this with the greatest respect but either you are a (not very good) troll or you wildly exaggerate your own ability at bridge

Literally no advanced player in world bridge would agree with 90% + of your posts, in fact I think a player of just a few weeks experience would be scratching their head with some of the stuff you come out with!

You have much to learn,Grasshopper :(

Challenges are much like the daylong tourneys. So want to accept my invite or Richard's? I'll play it in the cards, no crazy NT openers or psychs.

Here's how to accept a challenge, or create your own:

Click Challenges: https://snag.gy/N6P0hQ.jpg

You'll see a few invitations there, click the ones you want to accept and click Accept. Then you can play them any time just like the daylong tourneys. You and your challenger don't have to be online simultaneously or in the same time zone to play out your boards.
