movie activation from pdf hyperlink using ipad

I have embedded a bridge movie in a pdf using a hyperlink.
No problem activating the link and generating a bbo webpage when working on my pc or laptop, but when recipients attempt to replicate this process using their ipads, it doesn't work. They can play on bbo from the ipad, and they can open up an adobe pdf.
