Screen resolution in Chrome and OS Catalina

For whatever reason, the interface for BBO on my MacBook Pro (OS X Catalina) makes text unreadably small (and often overlapping); this forum has the same problem. The one exception is the tabletop display, which is the same as on iPad. Is this because of some setting that I could change (either in the app or more generally for the laptop, or is it just an unavoidable conflict between the Windows-preferring design of BBO and its use on MacOS? Since efficient use of Chat is not really possible (at my age) without a keyboard,the problem is exceedingly annoying.

Try using Cmd-+ to increase the browser zoom.
