I have been using Bridgebase with my desktop pc just fine.

Recently I purchased a laptop so I can play bridge when traveling, but when I try to sign in using my laptop using the same account credentials as I use with my desktop, I can't login. Does BBO not allow signing in with a different device?

What does "I can't login" mean? What happens after you enter ClarkNK, your password, and click Log In?

It shouldn't be a problem - I routinely log in on more than one laptop. What failure message do you get, and are you sure (if you use a stored password on your main device) that you're using the correct password on the laptop? Are you getting upper / lower case correct throughout?

I get the message "Connection closed: Incorrect User / password"

Assuming you're entering your user name correctly, it sounds like you need to look harder at the password. Start with my suggestions above. If you have any uncertainty about a stored password, you can always use your login on the desktop to change it.

I think what happens next is a knock on the door from the international Bridge police. Maybe even Interpol. Who knows. Do they knock on doors or just tell national police who to arrest

I apologise for not being more specific but without knowing your location I do not know who is likely to be doing the investigation

Problem solved. I have my desktop set to remember password so I never see it when I login, and I had forgotten I changed it. So when trying to login with the laptop with the correct password, problem solved.

Blame it on a pandemic brain freeze.

Thanks to all who repsonded.

I'm glad it was easily solved.
