If I write da (ca, sa, ha) in the chat it willbe automatically replaced by the the diamond (club, spade, heart) symbol. How can I change this? I know there must be a way, because friends of mine have it different, however we could not find the difference in the settings.

The problem (as often mentioned over the years) is exactly the opposite, non-English words like 'da' are wrongly treated as card references independent of language settings. The ideal solution would be to nationalise the whole mechanism so that (say) an Italian could write 'da' as a word but also 'qa' to indicate 'Asso di quadri'. But just ignoring anything not preceded by ! would be better than the current situation.
