Why did the idiot double? doesn't matter... you're still on lead.

Well, if not on the lead ♠7 could at least be helpful at the post-mortem.

(Please tell me that partner isn't one of those idiots who doubles any 2NT opening that is in danger of getting passed out. I've played agains folks who maintained that this was a winning strategy. They typically maintained this until the partner of the 2NT opener "psyched" a pass with a balanced 8 count).
I'd lead the Queen of Hearts.

Maybe he has a balanced hand and think they will fail if we don´t gift them a trick.
Maybe he is just another junior with too much testosteron.
Maybe he has a running minor.
I try the queen of clubs or the king of diamonds. I voted the later, but it is close.

but if 2nt is 20-21 and no conventions, looks really absurd bid...

I would lead ♦K as anything else is too likely to give declarer a finesse that he could never take, or give him the ♥K for free when we know partner has an entry.

Agree.
I disagree with many of the posters on the opening lead. Clearly partner has some values - as little as there is out there, he must have everything that declarer does not have. But the lead of the ♦K or ♣Q may be the only way that declarer can establish 8 tricks - if you are unlucky enough to hit upon declarer's long suit (or the opponent's fit).
I lead the ♥Q. Even if this gives declarer a trick, and even if I have to give him a SECOND heart trick later, I am reasonably sure that we will take 6 tricks before declarer takes 8 tricks.

I'd lead the ♥Q in my sleep.

1) It was his turn to bid
2) He heard somewhere (here maybe), 2NT-P-P-?? requires a double
Lead the Heart Queen

Conclusion number 2, partner is a super idiot pickup partner who doubled as a DONT bid or some other convention which describes a 1 suited hand (of course without telling you).
Conclusion number 3, partner is your regular partner who doubled as a DONT bid or some other convention which describes a 1 suited hand (and you forgot your system ).
So did I guess right?
Lead the ♥ Q, pray very very hard that dummy has the ♥ King as his only honor card or that partner has it (yeah right ), and that declarer uses this entry to finesse to your doubleton ♣ Q. Declarer will not let you get in with a diamond if he can help it.
Good luck,
Theo
