I cannot stay connected -- I receive the login prompt with the notice Connection Lost after a couple of minutes of kibitzing a game.

I'm using Firefox 3.0.1 on Fedora 7. My firewall allows all outgoing connections.

Can you suggest a debugging approach?

All,

I don't know if this is a BBOFlash issue, but this happened to me a second time this morning. I'm on an Intel Mac running Tiger, playing BridgeBase via Firefox. I think I won the tourney (money was deposited into my account), but BBO displayed something a little different. I can't figure out how to put a file screen shot in this post (help with that welcomed, too), so it has been mailed to fred@bridgebase.com, but the Flash results of the tourney claim the "winner" has 3.25 IMPs, as does second place, and then players are grouped by twos, with scores in mostly negative multiples of 0.25.

This has happened to me once before, playing Sky Club #926 one week ago, 8/9/08, at the same time as this tourney, and odd scores were posted. I can send you a screen shot for that tourney if you like.

Rich,

It wasn't an issue with the web version of BBO, but it was a real issue, one that has been lurking about undetected for a while.

Only web-versions were affected, when viewing some Indy tourney leaderboards. The prizes/points etc were not affected. The fix will roll into service on Monday.

Thanks for the catch.

The next version (likely to be made available within the next few days) will be multilingual. I suspect it will work for you then.

Appears that the team match capabilities is weaker than BBOWIN. Could not right click to add players?

Is there a summary of difference between BBO FLASH & BBO WIN?

:) :)

I switched to Vista and seems the BBO display is nicer than in XP making me more willing to switch to BBO FLASH.

You have to make sure the scroll bar is ALL the way at the bottom in order for the chat to scroll automatically.

The scollbars in Flash are unfortunately more delicate in this regard than the scrollbars in Windows.

At some point (hopefully within the next couple of months) we are planning on creating an entirely new facility for creating team matches that (hopefully) will make it a lot easier to do this than it is in the Windows client.

NSEW are shown in the bidding pad. Please consider to show player name (as in BBO WIN).

Could not see own's profile (graphical mode) in BBO Flash.

Could not kitbitz one player (hiding the other players).

The next version will show player names instead of NSEW in the bidding diagram.

Not being able to see your own profile when you click your own name is intentional, but I might change this.

Could not replicate. When tried again, the chat window rolls along with chat.

Do all new BBO members having joined BBO since end June 08 (and are only using the BBOFlash ) have to go back to bridgebase.com and download the Windows version in order to be able to view the Bridge Movies in the BIL Library ?

I have a minor problem scrolling in the friends list. If I am at the bottom of the list and new friends arrive, they will be below the bottom but I cannot scroll further down. Scrolling up and then down again resolves the issue.

When I try to chat to a player who is in a tourney, I get a weird error message: "Seat no longer available or permission denied". (I have a theory why this wrong error message occurs, I have made similar mistakes myself :) )

The message will be corrected during the next software upgrade ( cpl of days ).

It was caused by an error we made during the process of preparing the web bbo for multilingual support.

Yes - at this point in time having the Windows client installed is necessary in order to view .lin files (bridge movies).

Thanks for the bug report, Helene.

So far I have been unable to replicate this, but I have been trying with the list of stars because I don't have very many friends :)

If you get a chance can you please try to do some more experimenting (including trying the list of stars) and let me know if you learn anything?

Thanks,
